Organic farming practices are the foundation of everything we do at Tawse Winery. These practices directly influence the health of our soils, the quality of our grapes, and the complexity of our wines.
We strive to nurture our ecosystem, rather than deplete it. Our 115 acres of vineyards are farmed organically, without the use of synthetic fertilizers, pesticides or insecticides. Healthy vines means there is less need for outside substances to control disease and promote growth. Having a constant presence in the vineyards allows us to anticipate and prevent issues before they arise.
We take pride in our vineyards and the bounty of exquisite fruit the vines produce each and every vintage. The unique geology of our vineyards and our non-interventionist approach to winemaking result in wines that reflect the terroir and express a sense of place.
